Massai Mara
We stay with the Massai and learn about their culture, see some very hungry lions and say farewell to Africa
Uganda
We come face to face with Gorillas in the Bwindi Inpenetrible Forest, visit an organic mountain coffee plantation. Leon goes rafting while Martina visits a local healthcare clinic.
Nairobi to Kigali
Leaving Nairobi with another group and another truck we travel through Nakuru National Park in Kenya, through Uganda to our base for visiting the Gorillas. We take a brief visit Rwanda and learn about it’s difficult past.
South Africa
We spend two weeks in South Africa, relaxing in the wine region and taking a photography based tour of the Western Cape
Dunes and Canyons to Cape Town
Leaving the deserts dunes and canyons of Namibia we cross the border into South Africa into Cape Town
Namibia - Spitzkoppe and Swakopmund
We learn about desert wildlife, smelly seals, and the German influence of Namibia
Namibia - The San People and Etosha
We visit the San people who cast their magic rain dance on us for the next few days through the normally arid Etosha national park
Botswana
We explore Botswana and the Okavango Delta, listening to scary wildlife close at night
Zimbabwe
We travel through Harare to Victoria Falls visiting Bulawayo and the Stone Ruins from where the country takes it’s name
Zambia
Long drives and short nights through Zambia, we have a game drive at South Luanga National Park and get ready for Christmas on the road
Lake Malawi
We travel to Malawi staying by the lake and take a guided walk through a local village
